Initial Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA-1)

Formerly known as CNA/GNA. Students are responsible for additional expenses including physical exam, live scan fingerprinting/background check, State Board exam, and licenses.

Program Overview

This program is designed to help students become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Maryland.

Learning Options

Online-Supported CNA Enrollment

  • Students have up to 4 weeks to complete the online course.
  • Payment plan available.
  • Course is completed at the student's own pace.
  • No specific login times required.
  • In-person skills and clinicals are available by appointment.

In-Person CNA

  • Full payment required.
  • 2-week course.
  • Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.
  • Students must wear a uniform top and bottom of any color with closed-toe shoes.
  • Day program schedule: Monday and Thursday, 9:00 AM-2:30 PM.
  • Clinical days: TBA, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.
